Why do you believe what you believe?

Why?

The short answer is because of Love. Love for the Truth. Love toward those searching for truth. Love towards those who don't even know what truth is. Love towards those who may have fallen prey to anti-truth. Love that must speak Truth, to those who like or like it not.

We are moved to confess the Truth, because Love has been poured out for us.

Yes, this is, and will always remain a Christian website.

And more so, it is a Confessionally Lutheran one at that.

And, because our contributors live in Canada, it will have some of that flavour as well.

In time we will get to a deeper understanding of what these things mean, as the Lord wills. In short, however, it means that we will seek to explain and confess everything from a Scriptural, Liturgical, Historical, Sacramental, and Christological position. Yes, we know we will have to explain those things as well, and we will.

Our goal, with the Holy Spirit's assistance, is to confess and contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. Faith which impacts and orders every aspect of a Christian's life, and through their life the broader community.

Every magnificent tree begins as a seed sown into the ground; it takes time to grow and mature. Likewise the undertaking of "We Still Believe..." will take time to germinate, grow, and come to its full maturity. There will likely be pruning that happens as we expand, and that will no doubt create some pain for you and us, however the best fruit is born on well pruned and disciplined trees. And so, it is our prayer that the Lord is pleased to bless the work of our minds and hands, so that, you, the reader may be blessed as well.

To God alone - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - be all glory, honour, and dominion, now and forever. Amen.
