Getting around to it...

We promise we won't leave you without some fascinating backstory for how this entire venture came to be. In the meantime, you'll just have to wait!

Update: the wait is over.

In a sense, the origins of this venture, begin at the dawn of time, when God spoke all things into existence by His very Word. He created all things visible and invisible by His Word. His word is efficacious, that is it does what it says. It is meant to be heard, and trusting it to be true, followed. Human history has demonstrated both the blessing that God extends through fidelity to His Word of Truth, and the consequences we earn for disobeying it.
Human nature is such, that we are constantly attempting to find loopholes in God's Word, ignoring it, or just flat out rejecting it. God doesn't force anyone to abide by it, He simply and firmly warns that there are ramifications that exist for those who desire to live contrary to His Word. This is love.
But God demonstrates His love for His creation, not simply through words but also through His every action. Unwilling to simply let humanity earn the punishment we justly deserve for our rebellion against His Word. His Word, God the Son, took on human flesh, to reveal the Father's love to mankind through a life of obedient, sacrificial love. To reveal divine Truth to those who would prefer to live a life of lies. To shine the light of His glory, into a dark and gloomy world. To lay down His life; the ransom price for rebels, so that gathered to Him, we might have new life in Him.
And then, He took His life up again. The resurrection of Christ Jesus confirms the Words He spoke, and all the Words spoken about Him, as Truth. Truthful words which are the power of God unto salvation for all who believe them. This is true in every age, and will be until He returns in glory.
And still people will reject His Words, and the saving faith they are capable and powerful to create. Some even, who once believed, will turn away from them. While it is true in every age, it appears increasingly so in our age. Once faithful people and even many church bodies turn away from God's Word of Truth, following after the age old lie which cast's doubt on the veracity of that which God has spoken.
Perhaps you're here because you have been jaded by incomplete and partial truths and are searching for Biblical Truth; for the Word of God which makes sense of this dark and disordered mess we call, for now, home. Maybe you are just looking for ways to talk about the Christian Faith with your friends and family, with your co-workers and colleagues. Perhaps you are theologically hungry, and looking for solid food.
Welcome friend.
There is a place where the Truth is still proclaimed, in it's fullness; as the Lord desires, without explaining it away, or making it mean something else.
There is a place where the Word of God is held, taught, and confessed; unashamedly, to those who like or like it not.
There is a place where you can find lasting rest for your wearied soul, encouragement for today, and bright hope for tomorrow.
We call that place, the faithful Church. The family of God, gathered around Jesus. Bound together by His love, and the means He has ordained to draw us together and build us up.
By God's grace and mercy, we are those humbly being conformed to the image of his Son, Jesus Christ. By the power of His all illuminating Word. And not, as it were, as those willingly chasing after and adopting a lie; conforming themselves to the dark shadows of this present age in rejection of God's eternal Word.
We're here to tell you, we still believe...
We're here to confess Biblical Truth, so that you too might believe.
We're here to encourage you, and be encouraged by you, as together we find our encouragement in the Truth, Christ Jesus, and His Word.
The seed of this adventure, initially took the form of a tract of the same name, a list of assertions grounded in the Word of God. By God's grace, and through the encouragement of many Christian brothers and sisters it has grown to this point. It is our prayer, that our Lord and God might be pleased to use this humble tool for the glory of His Holy Name and the building up of His holy Church.
Stay tuned, more is coming!
We still believe... therefore we confess.
